God’s love burns for all humanity.
‘For God so loved the world he gave his only Son so that whoever believes in him would not perish but have eternal life.’ John 3:16.
He is not distant or aloof.
‘God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.’ Psalm 46:1.
He is Love.
‘God is love’ 1 John 4:8 & 16
He made people for abundant life as his children.
‘I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.’ John 10:10
God’s love so burns for us that he suffers when we suffer.
‘When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in his spirit and greatly troubled. … Jesus wept.’ John 11:33,35.
God’s love so burns for us that he will suffer greatly to bring us to himself.
‘And being in an agony he (Jesus) prayed more earnestly, and his sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground’. Luke 22:44
‘And twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on him (Jesus) … and they were striking his head with a reed and spitting on him. … and they crucified him.’ Mark 15:17,18,24
God’s love burns so strongly for us that he suffers as we reject him
‘And when he (Jesus) drew near and saw the city (Jerusalem), he wept over it, saying, ‘would that you, even you, had known on this day the things that make for peace.’’ Luke 19:41,42.
‘O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you would not!’ Matthew 23:37.
God’s love burns so strongly for all humanity that he is always at work to tear down the strongholds that stand opposed to him, and which keep people separated from him, trapped in false belief.
‘For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,…’ 2 Corinthians 10:4,5
God’s love burns so strongly that he will discipline all who receive him, so that we can grow in holiness and enjoy more of the life and love he has for us in his presence.
‘My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, nor be weary when reproved by him. For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son who he receives.’ Hebrews 12:5,6.
‘For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.’ Hebrews 12:11
Ultimately, God in his burning love will cast the evil powers that oppress humanity into the ‘burning lake of fire’.
‘The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the Devil.’ 1 John 3:8
‘And the Devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and Sulfur …’ Revelation 20:10
And he will burn away everything ungodly his children have built on the foundation of Jesus. 1 Corinthians 3:10-15
And he will burn down (in judgment) the old heavens and old earth, to give his children a new heaven and new earth.
‘But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly’. 2 Peter 3:7
‘Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, …’ Revelation 21:1
This website is dedicated to the ‘burning down’ of all the strongholds standing opposed to God, so that people trapped in false belief can come to know in their hearts, the burning love of God for them.
